There is a stunning photo of the three of you standing by a river bank. The water is in the background. That is a keeper and should be on your Christmas letter. Lyanda-thanks for taking us on your walk through the forest. Everything you are writing is giving me such a new and different picture of the Africa you are in. Won't Claire's teachers be interested in seeing her in this classroom. I noticed that a blackboard was so unusual as to get special notice. I had to smile-since all my student'/teacher life was spent in a cloud of caulk dust in front of a blackboard. I loved your earlier pictures of you all in the ocean. I hope the waves calm down.
Love from Joan and Emero.

Hi, Claire,
This looks like a pretty fancy hotel and I hope the waves calm down so you can swim--which I'm about to do in about 10 minutes! We love hearing about your trip and have a fabulous safari! (I'm jealous.) love to you and mom and dad, Cookie
